History
EnviroFlo, Inc. was founded in 2001 by Joe W. Lacey II., but his vision started many years before. From a young age, Joe worked with his father in the septic systems industry, which sparked his interest in wastewater treatment. He pursued a Bachelor of Science with a focus on microbiology, leading to the development of advanced and improved systems for EnviroFlo. Joe’s dedication to research and development resulted in significant innovations, including the first NSF 40 system approved by the state of Mississippi and a unique Nitrogen Reduction System. Joe’s influence and impact on the company and the wastewater industry are everlasting, even after his passing in July 2018.
In 2018, Derrick Scoggins, a long-time friend, business partner, and mentee of Joe Lacey, took over as the new president and now owner of EnviroFlo, Inc. Derrick and Joe shared a deep bond, not only as business partners in various ventures but also as close friends who were like brothers. Having worked alongside Joe since 2009, Derrick has over 16 years of experience in the industry.
During this time, he has overseen the day-to-day administration and operational functions of the business, including but not limited to warehouse operations, office operations, sales, customer support, education instruction, certifications, and system designs.
Derrick’s hard work ethic and dedication to those who depend on him are evident in his commitment to always going above and beyond. He has humbly and diligently carried the company forward, successfully navigating it through a pandemic, recession, and fluctuating economy. Under Derrick’s leadership, EnviroFlo continues to thrive, providing quality, dependable, and easy-to-maintain systems and components.
As Derrick Scoggins continues to lead EnviroFlo, his vision is to build upon the robust foundation established by Joe Lacey, while also continuing to forge his own legacy. Derrick is committed to ensuring that EnviroFlo remains a reliable leader in the wastewater treatment industry, driving innovation and excellence.
